This course is best suited for individuals enrolled in Recovery College. A similar course can be found in our catalog for those who are not enrolled in Recovery College. Active listening is a communication technique that includes awareness, verbal, and non-verbal skills to support positive communication. The listener’s body language is an important component of the non-verbal active listening process that uses awareness of body language, such as eye contact, to support the speaker.
